Brian Akaka, founder of Pa’a Prefab, was born in Hilo and raised with a deep connection to Hawaiʻi’s people, culture, and community. His journey has taken him far beyond the islands, living and traveling abroad, especially throughout Asia — where he experienced innovative building methods and practical, affordable housing solutions.
Those experiences planted the seed for Pa’a Prefab: a company dedicated to bringing cost-effective, high-quality construction practices to Hawaiʻi. By blending global innovation with local values, Brian set out to create spaces and studios that are affordable, efficient, and built to last.
